World Book Day - Thursday 2nd March 2017
Luxulyan School celebrated World Book Day by bringing literacy characters to life!
Ash Class teamed up with Oak Class to read as buddies and then created finger puppet story characters!
Beech Class made corner bookmark characters and read to one another in their comfy story corner.
Sycamore Class took part in 'book tasting'- which involved the pupils choosing a book and writing a review about them.
Here are some photos of our creative costumes and our World Book Day activities...

Lanhydrock - Friday 3rd March 2017

Beech Class pupils are visiting Lanhydrock House, to take part in a learning guided tour at family life in the past and also the gardens to look at plants and wildlife as part of their topics and subject learning in class.

Visit their class page over the next few weeks for photos of their educational visit.

St Piran's Day - Monday 6th March 2017

Our Year 3 students have been invited to take part in the St Piran’s Day celebrations in Bodmin. The students will be taking part in the procession through the town centre and performing a song/dance for all the other schools.

St Piran's Day  is the national day of people in Cornwall. The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall, Saint Piran, who is also the patron saint of tin miners.

Check Sycamore's class page over the next few weeks to find photos from the celebratory day!
