Safeguarding Statement 2017-18
At Luxulyan School we are committed to safeguarding children. The health, safety and emotional well-being of every child are our paramount concern. Our aim is that the children will thrive during their time with us in a safe and happy environment.
We will work in partnership with you to enable your child to achieve their full potential.
Designated Safeguarding Lead at the school is:
Mrs S Le-Doux-Lucas – Head of School and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo)
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are:
Mr Stewart Gynn – Executive Headteacher
The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding and attendance is Mrs Clare Eich who can be contacted through the school office.
All of the above staff have undergone the specialist training required and are also responsible for any children in care (CiC).
All staff are trained in Child Protection Awareness and we have a Safeguarding/Child Protection Policy which is regularly reviewed (this is under the seperate Safeguarding tab on the website).
