Governors Impact Statement
As Governors, we will work with parents and staff to ensure that every child will thrive during their time at Luxulyan School, in a happy and safe environment. We will support the school’s ambition for the children to excel academically and just as importantly in the development of the “whole child” who feels safe, confident and happy. It is always the school’s aim for the children to have as much fun and enjoyment as they possibly can when learning, for the school to create truly ‘memorable learning experiences’. This is reflected in the Mission Statement:

Parents, staff and governors work together so that all our children have the best chance to develop to their full potential. Above all, we want the children to take pride in everything they achieve and learn with confidence.
We work in partnership with the Headteacher, Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT) and the community of the school to provide the best possible education for children.
We have three key roles:
1. We provide a strategic overview
2. We act as a critical friend to the school
3. We ensure accountability
